Slap the waiter.
"Insolent whelp, fetch me my cake!" is what you cry as you leap out of your seat and slap the waiter. Around you, other patrons fall quiet, and the monocle of some old gentleman falls out and lands into his soup.
You've obviously committed some kind of social faux pas, though you can't work out for the life of you why slapping waiters is frowned upon. Then, suddenly, it dawns upon you - you forgot to leave a tip!
